FlechaHow to Add an Abortion Event and How It Works

The functionality to record an abortion event in the app helps to manage the reproductive history of animals and monitor empty periods. Here's a step-by-step explanation of how to record it and how it works

Record an abortion event from the animal's file

1. Go to the "Livestock" section and Search for the animal you want to register the event for and select its file.

2. Within the animal's file, click on the menu located in the upper right corner. In the drop-down menu, select the option "Register Abortion".

3. When you click on register abortion, the form to add the event will open, fill in the necessary data and press "Save" to register the event.

4. You will be able to see the events recorded in the "Breeding" section of the animal file

Quick Accesses to Register Abortions

1. From the list of animals (Beating Heart):

  • On the livestock list, animals close to calving will be marked with a beating heart icon to the right of their name.
  • Click on the heart (Beating) and select the Abortion option to open the Register Abortion form.

2. From the task agenda:

  • In the Task Schedule, animals with an advanced or late farrowing date will be listed.

Click on the + icon and select the Abortion option to access the Abortion form.

How the abortion event works

  • Automatic transition to empty state:

Once you complete the abortion registration, the animal will automatically go into the empty state. (You can also record this status in the animal's file)

    • This will allow the days from the abortion to the next pregnancy period to be counted.
  • Control of wet nurses in the agenda:
    • The app will notify you in your to-do schedule when an animal has been empty for more than 3 months, helping you maintain efficient control over wet nurses and manage new inseminations or matings.
